What an honor it was today to receive the Tempe Chamber of Commerce's Business Excellence Award in the Large Business Category. We were recognized for exemplifying the pillars of business excellence through customer service, community involvement and business and employee development.Thank you to all our employees and partners who work together each day to help us be an extraordinary airport.

An airport worker earned a reputation for being one of the best, most courteous individuals and is getting his due.Francisco O., a custodian with airport contractor Flagship, is consistently friendly and willing to take on whatever task needs to be accomplished. We had a blast yesterday with our Aviation staff and their little ones celebrating the City of Phoenix's "Take Your Child to Work Day!" The kiddos had an opportunity to learn about how their parents make America's Friendliest Airport® a wonderful place. They got on a plane, helicopter, fire truck, trailers, and even checked out some of the Air National Guard's gear. They also spent some time with our lovely mascot Amelia, our Navigator Buddies, and interacted with other kids while participating in creative activities. Definitely a day for the books!
